About the procedure
Peeling is a controlled damage and exfoliation of several layers of the skin with the help of a chemical composition to improve its quality, correct aesthetic flaws and age-related changes.
The procedure involves the application of professional preparations with acids of a certain concentration. In the process, the skin is exfoliated and the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid is activated. This provides cell renewal, relief alignment and a lifting effect.

Types
Types of peels:
Depending on the acid and its concentration in the composition of the drug, peeling can be superficial, middle and deep. They differ primarily in the depth of influence.
Surface peel is the easiest variation of the procedure. It exfoliates only the upper stratum corneum of the skin of the face. The composition of the drugs includes mandelic, salicylic, or fruit acids. They work superficially, help to clean the pores of sebum (skin fat), remove black spots and small traces of acne.
Middle chemical peel is distinguished by a higher concentration of acids in the composition. It affects the entire structure of the epidermis, up to the basement membrane, and effectively smoothes out wrinkles and scars. The procedure stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, due to which the skin is rejuvenated and tissues are tightened. An example of such peeling is PRX-T33 - it is a patented formula from the Italian company WiQo. Chemical peeling for the face contains:

- 33% trichloroacetic acid - activates the division of fibroblasts and renewal of the epidermis;
- 5% kojic acid - removes pigmentation, brightens the skin;
- less than 1% of hydrogen peroxide - has an antiseptic effect.
With what procedures can peels be combined?
The maximum effect can be achieved if a complex of care procedures is carried out. Peeling is well compatible with facial cleansing - an integral part of the skin care and treatment program, which is aimed at deep cleansing.

How is the peeling procedure performed?

Advantages of peels
Recommendations after peeling.
In the first week, you should limit visits to the sauna, swimming pool and solarium, and do not use products that contain alcohol. To additionally protect the skin from the sun, be sure to apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher when going outside, and on a permanent basis in the summer.
It is recommended to use a cream for deep moisturizing and restoration of the skin recommended by a specialist.
If you notice active skin peeling and crusting, do not pick them off with your hands, scrubs or any other mechanical method.
